Czech Countryside

Life is slowly limping back to normal after a period of grappling with illness. Rounds of doctors, hospitals, clinics and chemists has left us exhausted, mentally and physically. Dealing with the illness of children and parents can be so draining.

I'm trying to relive some of the stress through my art. So I took a quick tour of the Czech Republic, virtually of course, through Google Street View. Really got to thank Bill Guffey at The Virtual Paintout for arranging the trip. The country has some amazing vistas to offer, and I chose a serene landscape as my entry for the month.

Hope to have more time for creative pursuits in June. And, hope to update the blog at a better frequency from next month onwards when the dust finally settles. Till then, a big thank you to all of you for hanging in there with me! :)

Unscheduled Time Out

Thank you all for visiting this blog.

A personal emergency is likely to keep me away from blogging and painting for the next few weeks. In the meanwhile you can visit the lovely and interesting works of other bloggers listed in my sidebar. Or maybe scroll down the archives to see my progress through the past months.

Hoping to get back soon!

Pansy In Watercolor

I had wanted to do this for a while. Basically paint the same subject in two different mediums to see the difference for myself. So I picked the pansy again, and the result is for all to see....

Though I could get nowhere near the original colour of the flower (thanks to my limited pallette), but I'm not entirely displeased with the creation. As I had expected, using watercolors added a whole lot more depth to the subject, bringing out its shades and nuances much better.

What do you have to say about this one, dear readers?
